All our breeding stock is separated by trait, so you can choose your favourite traits, select your foundation stock and then breed to combine them to create your own unique lab.
All labs on these pages are inbred free (but have their line underneath, denoted by a letter, labs with the same letter are related). They will all only pass on lab heads and bodies. link to us
QUICK GENETICSAll petz carry two genes for each trait, one gene is visual and the other is hidden. A pet can pass on either of these genes equally (so each pup born has an equal chance of inheriting one in four genes the two visual genes of the parent or the two hidden genes of the parent) - the pup will inherit one visually and one hidden. You can increase your chance of certain traits passing down by increasing the number of these 4 genes express the same trait. For example all the dogs available for download on this website have the lab gene for the head trait as both the visual and hidden gene, meaning if you breed two of our dogs together you will only ever get the lab head.
For each trait on the trait pages we will note if the gene is: DOMINANT VISUAL - the dog has two copies of the gene so this pet can only pass this gene down (either visually or hidden depending on the breeding partner). VISUAL - this dog is showing the gene visually but it's hidden gene is not expressing the trait SPLIT - this dog carries the trait as a hidden gene so you will be able to use it to breed that trait. We do not make notes on coat colours and eye colours in the project just visual body, coat and marking traits.
