SAVE THE SEA OTTERS FUNDRAISER TRIAL

(This show was the the idea of and designed by my daughter)

Welcome to the Save the Sea Otter fundraising show, join in our fun classes, win otter themed rosettes and prizes. And if you feel you are able, why not make a small donation to help save sea otters.

RULES

This show is run on an honor basis, you complete the show task and time your pet, then use the results table included in the class to determine your placing. You can then claim the relevant prizes. This is a fun way to earn prizes, train and compete with your pet without the need to online forums (for younger children) or waiting for shows to be judged if you'd just like to work with your petz in your own time.

You can enter as many times as you like but each pet may only enter each class once at this show (they can enter the same type of class in one of our other fairs if you wish).

Only run your pet once, their final time or score is final!

If you enter any of the classes in this show feel free to take this show stamp and download this fun cuddly otter toy (based on Lizzie's own special cuddly toy - her first baby toy that goes everywhere with her).

CLASSES

1 DOCK DIVING
Make sure you are in a play scene with a ledge, set a 2 minute timer. Place your pet on the left and encourage them to 'dive' off by clicking or calling towards the ground. Count how many dives they make in the 2 minutes.

2 WATER RETRIEVE
Visit a play scene that contains a body of water (you will need a downloaded play scene for this e.g. CC low tide, pond etc). Place 5 toys/dummies into the water area, start the timer and have your pet retrieve each dummy to the hand (placing it into the carry case after). Time how long it takes your pet to return all 5 dummies. You can call your pet to the dummies by double clicking or by picking up and putting down the dummy on the spot should they become distracted.

3 AGILITY
Set out three obstacles in the following order:
SILVER HOOP - BLUE PILLOW - 3 SCRATCHING POSTS
Start the timer and have your pet complete each of the obstacles in order, jump through the silver hoop. Lay down on the pause pillow, and weave through the scratching posts. Stop the tim

4 TRICK
​Set a one minute timer and see how many different tricks you can get your pet to perform within the timer.

5 MOUSING
Wait until a mouse comes out (you can bait them with treats), start the timer and bring your pet out. Stop the timer when it catches the mouse. If the pet fails to catch the mouse, pause the timer and wait until the mouse comes out again and repeat until the pet has caught a mouse. Maximum time limit is 10 mins. Use the final time taken to work our your placing.

6 UP AND OVER
Set up two jumps or hoops, start the timer, throw a dummy for your pet to retrieve, once the pet has picked up the dummy they most jump over two jumps whilst still holding the dummy and return it to the hand (jumps can be completed in either direction).
